ABOUT US

The FUBU Market is a community non-profit founded by Jailaih Gowdy, a Mississippi native with a passion for health and wellness. Set up in June 2020, it was inspired by the Black Lives Matter protests and Jailaih's desire to find ways to more meaningfully connect with her community.

Based in New Orleans, the mission of The FUBU Market is to promote health equity and economic circulation in black communities. Quarterly, we host FUBU Markets, providing health education, health resources, and the chance to support local black-owned businesses. Join us in our mission today!
